About Stephanie Browne

By her own admission, in 1998 all Stephanie Browne knew about wine was ‘‘red and white’’. Her interest in learning more about wine led her to found Divas Uncorked, a Boston based wine education group whose mission is to demystify wine for women and people of color. These days Stephanie hones her increasingly sophisticated wine palate with her favorite wines—rich white burgundies, and robust zinfandels. Browne has guided the group in taking its private education public—organizing sold-out vintner dinners and corporate wine tastings. Under her leadership, Divas Uncorked also created the national wine conference for women called “Wine, Women, and…”, a chardonnay wine label from Mendocino Wine Company that sold nationally for seven years and the “The Divas Uncorked Wine and Food Festival” on Martha’s Vineyard. Stephanie also serves as the webmaster for the Divas Uncorked website, www.divasuncorked.com .

Stephanie and Divas Uncorked created and lead U.S. wineries on how to build a market with females and persons of color. She was selected as the first person of color to address winemakers and beverage executives as the keynote speaker for the 35 year old Nederberg Wine Auction in South Africa.

Stephanie and her husband Basil owned an upscale wine shop called Bon Vivant Wine Company, Inc. from 2008-2011. The shop was a friendly, neighborhood store focusing on wine education and enjoyment in every bottle with superior customer service. Bon Vivant tried to make the buying experience easy, approachable and fun.
